Best Central Park Quotes That Will Take You Down The Memory Lane Deep

Marking its debut on May 29, 2020, Central park is an American musical adult animated TV series created by Loren Bouchard, Nora Smith and Josh Gad. The main characters and the actors who gave voice to those characters are Josh Gad(Birdie), Leslie Odom Jr.(Owen), Kristen Bell(Molly), Tituss Burgess(Cold), Daveed Diggs(Helen) and lastly, Kathryn Hahn(Paige).

The show is narrated by Birdie, and through his eyes, we get to know about the Hunter family, and it’s members, who have a world of their own. All of their dreams go downhill when the entrepreneur Bitsy Brandenham and her assistant Helen decide to buy up all the land in Central park and transform it into a shopping district.

Thus the Hunter family takes this a challenge to stop the entrepreneur and her assistant from destroying the park.

By far, the show has 2 seasons and a total of 26 episodes, with its third season set to air on September 9, 2022. Before jumping to season 3, let’s pause and take a look back at some of the famous quotes said by the characters.

1. “But now this is where the manager of the park lives with his family. Let’s peek inside. It’s not creepy, I’m the narrator. But we should not get caught.” -Birdie

As the show starts, we get to meet our narrator, Birdie, who is a busker at the park. He narrates the events in a gleeful manner, as we can see in the introductory scene. He understands the concept of boundaries which is why instead of being a creep, he stays cautious(borderline creep detected) and allows the viewers to take a sneak peek into the character’s life.

The introductory scene was just a glimpse of the humor ride which was soon to be revealed in the upcoming episodes.

2. “Am I the only one who cares? Is my job stupid? Would I be more useful to the world if I worked in a factory?” -Owen

Central Park1

Owen is the park manager and one of the main characters of the sitcom. Being a nature lover, he worships the park and tries his best to make his children interested in the natural beauty of the park but fails miserably. Not only he yearns for the respect of his family but also deeply wishes people carefully treat the park as he treats it. As he strolls around the park with Birdie, he talks about the discomfort that has been going on in his mind and whether or not he should make his love for nature the ultimate goal of his life.

3. “It has to do with bats. And Molly was a vampire briefly but she’s not anymore. It’s totally fine.” -Cole

As a child, we all have lied to our parents, but when the same thing happened with the hunter family it showed the potential of this sitcom. To answer a simple question of why Cole, along with his sister, was late for dinner to which, he utters a minute-long hilarious excuse that even his parents weren’t around to listen to it.

4. “I’m going to punch you in the face.” -Bitsy

The entrepreneur and the antagonist who dreams of turning the park into a shopping district show us that not all evil characters have a sense of humor. We can see her outrageous side as she threats the mayor, who was giving out his public speech.

5. “You look like a dirty cottonball.” -Helen

Helping her greedy and obnoxious boss, we are introduced to Helen, who is deeply abused by her boss(Bitsy) and someday hopes to inherit the Brandenham fortune for herself. The way she delivers her one-liners with a dead expression is bound to make you laugh.

When Bitsy selects a hat for her and casually asks for her assistant’s feedback, Helen, without holding anything, immediately utters to Bitsy that she looks like a dirty cotton ball.

6. “It will be all worth it, it will be all worth it, it will all be worth it!” -Helen

Have you ever had an obnoxious boss whose petty behavior and never-ending demands have made you wonder, like, what if my boss dies due to some tragic accident so that I could inherit some of his property or an entire property in case he/she doesn’t have any heir? No? Yeah, me neither.

But that’s not the case with Helen. She has to tolerate her boss’s never-ending demands to which she consoles herself that all of this suffering will eventually come to an end and hopes to receive some kind of reward for all the abuses she has suffered.

7. “Hello every money, body! Everybody.” -Bitsy

Central Park2

What kind of entrepreneur did you expect her to be? No one is a saint in today’s day, and clearly, Bitsy isn’t one. This quote shows us how much greedy she is, which is why she doesn’t even think twice before plotting to demolish the park, as it comes as a barrier between her selfish greed.

8. “I’m a street musician. N I’m almost like a priest.” -Birdie

Coming back to our narrator, who not only entertains us with his silly sense of humor but also displays his comforting side towards the park manager. While strolling with Owen in the park, Birdie sensed some discomfort going on over Owen’s mind. He talks with him and asks him about the thought that makes him unhappy. As a priest, through his words gives comfort to some unhappy soul, a musician does the same work as well, but he provides comfort through his music.

9. “Right where I wanted it.” -Helen

Full filling yet another absurd request of her boss, Bitsy asks her to throw a chewed gum toward the park (by now, we know how much she hates the park). Helen shoots her best throw, but it lands on Bitsy’s hair. When Bitsy asks her about the throw, she replies that she threw it right where she wanted it. Another classic one-liner from Helen.

10. “Augustus you are late but you are a dog therapist so does it even matter.” -Helen

Another absurdity of Bitsy is proven when she calls for a dog therapist for her dog Champagne. At this point, Helen doesn’t even care at all. She has a job to fulfill and take care of her boss’s never-ending absurd demands.

11. “I’m already started saying it. It’s hard to stop in the middle of a one syllable word.” -Helen

Well, we do have to agree on this with Helen. It is quite hard to stop midway through pronouncing a one-word syllable. Bitsy is tired of the maid’s excuses of not cleaning a particular room on the seventh floor as they claim to hear noises and believe it to be the work of a gho-(you know it).

12. “Starting a pe@ I didn’t finish.” -Helen

As we all know how much Helen is involved in Bitsy’s life. Her one solution to everything is “HELEN.” And Helen, no matter where she is, would magically appear, gracing us with her humour. In this case as Bitsy was watching the news, she immediately calls up for Helen who was in the middle of answering her nature’s call.

Not only she immediately appeared in front of Bitsy to attend her requests but most importantly stopped her pee which is quite interesting because Helen finds it difficult to stop in the middle of a one word syllable but could casually stop her pee midway in order to attend her boss’s call. To which we all have one question-

“Helen are you some kind of wizard?”

13. “Why do dogs bite? N Why do dogs bite? Fear, stressm feels threatened.” -Helen

Central Park4

By far this was one of the most hilarious responses of Helen. Bitsy is a bit worried about her dog Champagne that she doesn’t hesitate to call for a dog therapist. Helen is there as well, noticing the nuisance going around her. So she immediately surfs the internet to find its solution. As she was reading the article she kicks her boss so that Champagne would feel threatened and as to defend she will bite her which shows the hilarious content and the epic writing of the show.

14. “You are all stupid.” -Bitsy

Now here Bitsy is tired of the excuses given by the maids about cleaning a particular room on the seventh floor. As they maids have claimed they believed that the room 732 has a ghost and are terrified to even enter into that room. Bitsy tries her level best to understand them that there is no such thing as ghosts.

Her tactics goes in vain as the maids are still terrified. So she places a bet with them that if she can spend an entire night in that room, then all of them would have to clean the room 732 without complaining or giving excuses about it. As she locks herself in the room she shouts as if someone was killing her.

The maids immediately felt the terror of the ghost. As the noise stops, the door is opened, and Bitsy is seen standing behind it, which shows that she was just messing with the maids and about their absurd claims of a ghost residing in that room.
