Bishojo Senshi Sera Mun, which is popularly known as Sailor Moon, is a popular manga series illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi. The manga contains 52 individual chapters and 18 volumes. Originally the manga was serialized in Kodansha’s shojo magazine from 1991 to 1997. Later the manga was adapted into an anime series and was produced by Toei Animation. The anime ran from 1992-1997, covering a total of 5 seasons, 5 movies, and one live-action film.

The plot revolves around our protagonist Usagi Tsukino, a clumsy and crybaby middle school student who on her way to school, saves a cat from a group of the bully. The cat befriends Usagi and reveals her true identity. The purple cat, who goes by the name Luna, reveals to Usagi that she is the chosen Sailor Moon warrior who, along with her teammates, is destined to save the Earth from the evil forces.
They also have a crucial mission to locate the Moon princess along with the silver crystal. As the journey begins we are introduced to other sailor warriors – Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus. Throughout their mission, Luna, along with her partner Artemis (another talking cat), acts as the guide of Sailor warriors. Lastly, we are introduced to Tuxedo Mask, which assists the Sailor warriors on their mission.

The moon kingdom which was ruled by Queen Serenity along with her advisors Luna and Artemis was invaded by the dark forces whose leaders were Queen Beryl and Queen Metalia. The whole kingdom was destroyed and no one was able to escape from the destruction. However, Queen Serenity unleashes the power of Silver Crystal. She sacrifices her life and sends her daughter along with other sailor warriors and her daughter’s true love to be reincarnated on the planet Earth. She also sends her advisors Luna and Artemis to help the sailor warriors on their journey.
Voiced by Keiko Han(in Japanese) and Jill Frappier(in English), Luna a talkative purple cat with a crescent spot on her forehead, is now on a mission to locate the moon princess. She has her heart set on the owner of the Arcade game studio. While she may be enjoying her dreamland, on the other hand, her feline companion has some alternate opinions about it. She insists Usagi, rather than involving her mind in such petty things, must rather invest the time in improving herself.

She is so Spacey that she can travel to the Moon via her absent mind. While looking at the rest of the members, we do feel a little bit about Luna. Acting as a guide for a clumsy 14-year-old student is a heavy burden for a cat.
