If you enjoy Disney’s pirate movies, “Treasure Planet” is a treasure you shouldn’t skip.
A young boy named Jim Hawkins and his quest to unearth a hidden treasure are the subjects of Walt Disney’s science fiction animated film “Treasure Planet.” The movie “Treasure Island” is adapted from the classic novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, a classic, served as the inspiration for the film. Jim’s life drastically changes when he meets old Billy Bones and learns that Treasure Planet might actually exist. In addition to having a sizable cult following and being nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, it should be mentioned that it received favorable reviews from critics.
1. “Now you listen to me, James Hawkins. You got the makings of greatness in you, but you got to take the helm and chart your own course. Stick to it, no matter the squalls! And when the time comes you get the chance to really test the cut of your sails, and show what you’re made of, well, I hope I’m there, catching some of the light coming off you that day.” -John Silver
This remark is from John Silver, a cyborg in charge of the revolt on the RLS Legacy, speaking to Jim Hawkins, a young man looking for adventure. He is emphasising that while James has the potential to be a wonderful person, he also needs to take the initiative and determine his own course.
As a result, James needs to pay attention to what he is saying. John hopes and prays that he will be present to see some of Jim that day as the light pours from him because he must not stray from his course no matter the squalls. When the chance presents itself for him to really test the cut of the sails and show his bravery, John should do so.
2. “Jim Hawkins: “Do you think somebody will find Treasure Planet?”
Sarah Hawkins: “Sweetheart, I think Treasure Planet is more of a legend.”
Jim Hawkins: “I know it’s real.”
Sarah Hawkins: “You win. It’s real.”
Jim in this quote is speaking to his mother Sarah Hawkins where he talks to her. About his fantasy. The treasure planet about which he is reading about. From a long time ago and asks her whether somebody would find the treasure planet. And to that her mother replies that she assumes.
That the treasure planet is like a legend which also means that she is saying that it is imaginary. And not real but Jim firmly says that he knows. That it is real, then his mother without a choice. To assure Jim and make him happy agrees that okay you win, it is real.
3. “Jim Hawkins: “Mom, this is the answer to all our problems!”
Sarah Hawkins: “Jim, there is no way.”
Jim Hawkins: “Don’t you remember all those stories?”Sarah Hawkins: “That’s all they were!”
This conversation is between Jim Hawkins and his mother, Sarah Hawkins. Jim is talking about the treasure planet and claims that it is the answer to all of their problems, which means that he wants to go and find it because he believes it to be a real thing. But, his mother disagrees with him and does not believe that it is right or true. However, Jim continues to attempt to convince her and urges her.
To recall all the tales he has told her since he was a child. However, his mother is not amenable to this and insists that all of these tales were simply stories and had nothing to do with reality. She uses this statement to try and convince Jim that his stories about the treasure planet were all the product of his imagination and that nothing he has said is true.
4. “Doctor Doppler: Jim. I’m an astronomer, not a doctor! I mean, I am a doctor, but I’m not that kind of doctor. I have a doctorate, it’s not the same thing. You can’t help people with a doctorate. You just sit and you’re useless!”
In this quotation, the anthropomorphic dog and astronomer Doctor Doppler is speaking, telling Jim that he is not a doctor. He says this out of frustration, but he later admits that he is a doctor. However, he is not the type of doctor Jim is assuming him to be because he has a doctorate or a Ph.D.,
Which is why the name of the character has the word “doctor” in it, even though they are clearly not the same. There is a distinction between being a doctor and holding a doctorate, but explaining it to people is impossible because everyone views doctorates in the same way. As you sit back and take in all of this, you may begin to feel as though you are useless because you cannot perform any tasks associated with doctors’ work or provide patient care.
5. “Jim Hawkins: All that talk of greatness.
John Silver: Now see here
Jim Hawkins: I mean, at least you taught me something, “Stick to it”.
John Silver: That treasure is owed me.
Jim Hawkins: Well, try to find it without *my* map.
John Silver: Ohhh, you still don’t know how to pick your fights, do you, boy?”
An argumentative exchange between Jim Hawkins and John Silver is captured in this discussion. Jim claims that all of John’s claims of greatness were a joke because he believes that the light is coming from him. John tries to persuade him, but he refuses and instead challenges him, saying that John was not adhering to the lessons he had learned or even to his own words.
Jim responds that he would stick to his convictions and would never allow John to find his treasure, let alone even see itJim continues to argue and demands that John Silver find the treasure without his map, to which John Silver responds that he owns the treasure and not Jim. Jim then hears John’s response and firmly declares that he will obtain the map by tomorrow and will find the treasure on his own without Jim’s assistance.
John Silver then claims that the treasure is his, not Jim’s, but Jim persists in his demand.
6. “Doctor Doppler: Speaking of which, how’s Jim?
Sarah Hawkins: Much better. I know he’s had a few rough spots, but I really hope he’s starting to turn a corner.
Police Robot 1: Mrs. Hawkins?
Sarah Hawkins: Jim!”
Sarah Hawkins, Jim’s mother, and doctor Doppler are having this conversation in which the doctor is enquiring about Jim and seeking to ascertain his current state of health. In response, his mother notes that although he has experienced some difficult times this year, he is considerably better than before.
She also adds that he is beginning to turn the corner and move on and expresses her hopes and prayers for him that he will forget these things and become better. The door opens as Sarah and doctor Doppler are having this chat, and two robots are walking in, accompanying Jim. One of the robots cries out, “Mrs. Hawkins,” and Sarah and doctor Doppler are shocked.
7. “Captain Amelia: “I don’tcare for the crew you hired. They’re, how did I describe them. I said something good this morning.”
Mr. Arrow: “A ridiculous bundle of galooty rubbish.”
Captain Amelia: “There you go.”
The captain of the RLS Legacy and an anthropomorphic cat named Captain Amelia are having this chat. She is comparable to Mr. Arrow, Captain Amelia’s first mate, and Captain Alexander Smollett from Treasure Island. In this quote, Amelia claims that she is unconcerned with the team that Arrow has chosen, but she then recalls that she had something positive to say about them before the morning coffee.
When she asks him what it was that she had said, he responds that she had described them as an absurd group of galoots who are constantly babbling, prompting Amelia to praise Mr. Arrow’s poetic ability.
8. “John Silver:Ahh, t’is a grand day for sailin’, Cap’n! And lookit yeh!
Captain Amelia: You can keep that kind of flim-flammery for your spaceport floozies.
John Silver: Yeh cut me to the quick, Cap’n! I speak nothing but my heart.”
John Silver, Captain Amelia, and Morph are having this conversation. Captain Amelia receives praise from John Silver, who also remarks that the weather is ideal for sailing. You are as tidy and lovely as they come, and you look like a sloop with new sails and a fresh coat of paint.
Then he bows to her. Amelia responds, “Silver, you can reserve that flim-flammery for your floozies in the spaceport.” Silver’s pet, Morph, a small pink creature with the ability to change into any shape, transforms into a miniature version of Captain Amelia and imitates her. John picks him up and tucks him under his hat. Cut me to the chase, Captain, John Silver responds to her. I always talk truthfully and from the heart.
9. “John Silver: If I could maneuver a skiff like that when I was your age, they’d be bowing in the streets.
Jim Hawkins: I dunno… they weren’t exactly singing my praises when I left home. But I’m gonna change that.
John Silver: Are you now? How so?
Jim Hawkins: I’ve got some plans, to make people see me a little different.
John Silver: Sometimes – plans go astray.
Jim Hawkins: Not this time.”
John Silver and Jim Hawkins are having this conversation. If I had been able to operate a speedboat like that when I was your age, they would have been bowing in the streets as I passed by today, John says in a conversation with Jim. When I went home, Jim said, “I don’t know,” they weren’t exactly applauding me.
I’ll alter everything, though. Jim responds that he has some plans that will allow people to think and view him differently when John asks him how he expects to do this.
10. “Scroop: Cabin boys should mind their ownbusiness.
Jim Hawkins: Do you have something to hide?
Scroop: Maybe your ears don’t work well.
Jim Hawkins: Too bad my nose works just fine.”
This conversation takes place between Jim Hawkins and Scroop, a violent crew member on the RLS Legacy who resembles a spider or a crab. In some ways, he is similar to Israel Hands from Treasure Island. Jim responds, “Why is he saying that, if he has something to hide in his bright eyes,”.
To Scroop’s comment that “cabin boys should mind their own business” and that he “should not interfere in other matters happening around.” Scroop responds angrily, “I think Jim’s ears don’t work so well,” to which Jim responds, “My nose works fine, and he need not worry about him.”
11. “Doctor, muse and blabberabout a treasure map in front of this particular crew demonstrates a level of ineptitude that borders on the imbecilic. And I mean that in a caring way.” -Captain Amelia
Captain Amelia in this quotation is speaking to doctor Doppler that to daydream and talk about a treasure map in front of this specific crew exhibits a level of stupidity that verges on the imbecilic. And I really do mean that in a compassionate manner.
12. “I keep hopingthat one day I’ll open the door, and there he’ll be. A smiling, happy little boy, holding a pet and begging me to keep it.” – Sarah Hawkins
Sarah Hawkins, Jim’s mom, is quoted in this passage. She claims that I frequently have the thought that he will be there for me when I open that door one day, looking precisely the same as he did before. The boy asked me to let him keep the new creature, which he was cradling with excitement and a smile.
